Day Habilitation

Day Habilitation provide opportunities to individuals with developmental disabilities to develop personal competencies and become fully included within the community in which they reside.

Services:

Support individuals in developing independence in a variety of areas, including social, communication, health, self-help, vocational, and self-advocacy.

Develop skills through participation in a variety of community-based activities that may include: leisure activities, volunteer work, physical fitness activities, self-help groups, clubs or associations and self-advocacy.

Eligibility:

Services are available for individuals meeting the definition of intellectual or developmental disability as found in AS 47.80.900(6)(A-E) and found eligible for State of Alaska, Senior and Developmental Disabilities grant or waiver funding.

  • Medicaid Home and Community Based Waiver (HCBW)
  • Private Pay
Cost:

Costs of services paid for through Medicaid HCBW. Individuals must first be selected or “drawn” for a Medicaid HCBW by the State of Alaska, SDS.
